instilling dignity through household goods

DIG Furniture Bank restores dignity and promotes stability by redirecting gently used furniture and household items to local families in need at no cost.

give

DIG relies on donations to provide quality furniture and household items to local families in need. Help us achieve this by donating your used goods. We ask that all donations are dropped off at our Milton site during a scheduled time.

donate furniture >

receive

DIG is not open to the public. All recipients must be referred to us from another nonprofit or human service agency and live in Union, Snyder, or Northumberland County. Our referral process is simple, and we’re always looking to grow our agency list!

find help >

volunteer

DIG relies on the gift of time from local volunteers. The more help we can get, the more good we’re able to do. If you have a question about volunteering, email us at volunteer@digfb.org - we’d love to connect!

what’s a

furniture bank?

DIG is a privately operated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in early 2020 from an observed need in rural, central Pennsylvania. We are inspired and mentored by a nationwide network of furniture banks (some of our favorites include Portland’s Community Warehouse, Boston area’s New Life Furniture Bank MA, and St. Louis area’s Home Sweet Home). The concept is much like a food bank, but only for furniture and household goods. While each furniture bank is different, we all have one thing in common: we believe that there is enough for everybody.
